Mushroom

So what's left to discover
Is it the wonder of whether you love her.

So words twist and bend, send us blind.
I'll see you in the end, if I have time.

And what's perfect to me, is full of imperfection.
I gotta learn to love right, show my honest affection.

And the true truth, that's just my opinion.
The fungus, the mould, the yeast now a champinion.

The vegetable, the mushroom, that lives and feeds on s#it.
Yes, this the life, you've gotta love it.

So I look into your eyes, and see myself in many ways.
The loneliness, the loss, the wasted effort and days.

Today a new day, hazy yet bright.
The hunger to begin, the will and want to see you tonight.

Peter Riddoch.
