Have mercy on me, O God,
Granting of your steadfast love;
Heal me to where I am flawed,
From your blessings from above.
Wash me clean of transgressions,
Cleanse me from all of my sin;
Keep me from my obsessions,
And iniquities within.
For I know my transgressions,
Sin is ever before me;
Please hear of my confessions.
Pleading in being sin free.
I sinned and done in your sight,
That contradicts of your Word;
Cleanse me and make me alright,
Sincerity you have heard.
In Your words are justified,
And blameless in your judgment;
Help me to be sanctified,
Reverse my course this moment.
I was brought forth in darkness,
As my mother did conceive;
But I know that the starkness,
That my faith makes me believe.
I know You delight in truth,
Teach me wisdom for my heart;
Let me not be so uncouth,
Help me begin a new start.
Purge me so I become clean,
Washing me whiter than snow;
Erase the past that had been,
Where iniquities did flow.
Let me hear gladness and joy,
Let my broken bones rejoice;
And Your Spirit to deploy,
Giving me a brighter choice.
Hide your face from all my sin,
Blot out my iniquity;
Create a clean heart within,
Giving me humility.
Please do not cast me away,
And restore Your salvation;
Let me not to go astray,
Build on me a foundation.
