I am a newborn butterfly fluttering free, flitting from flower to flower. All of my colors clothe my wings of silk, show the beauty that I have become. I love the kiss of the wind because it carries me to places I have never been. Light as a feather I land without the help of my delicate wings. Brief as my life might be, think of all that my new eyes shall see and all of the beauty that will be mine when I glide through the new blossoms of Spring. Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
