I came back from Cornwall older than when I went
This appears to be an habitual event,
My birthday always falls when I am away
There`s nothing I can do about it so it`s ok.
Lots of well wishes were sent my way
I had `phone calls and cards to start my day,
It put a smile on my face I have to say
Even though I wasn`t at home but far away.
A birthday at home is a rare thing for me
I`ve mostly spent my Birthdays by the sea,
Last year I was at home and oh what a treat
I had a day to remember that can`t be beat.
Tho` my birthday and holiday go hand in hand
I always get to spend it walking on the sand,
I miss having my family around me I must say
But I do my best to enjoy my special day.
