Fruit Market Quartet- Thieving  Harry's

The old Dock now a marina
Packed with rich mens' toys
Overlooked by Thieving Harry's
Bar restaurant of culinary joys.
Managing this corner site
In its  bustling market days
Harry Greendale was known
For his keen salesman' s ways.
Walk just a little further on
And pay less for the same
And that's how old Harry got
His tongue in cheek nickname.
A local legend now remembered
With some humour and pride
His story is told to all by
The plaque on the wall inside.
Enjoy a meal on the first floor
Overlooking  as you do
The daily maritime activity in
One of our City's best views.
See the weekend Sailors moored
Where fortunes were once made
From the sweat and the labour
Of  International maritime trade
Think of Thieving Harry
And his legendary ways
And of things now long past
From the busy Fruit Market days.
