Autumn Time

10685347_421025264718975_4897572856875559038_n.jpg

Digging a hole in the dirt
to plant a sunflower seed
hoping in a week I will see
it begins to grow.

How I love to see those happy
faces of a simple sunflower
they have a certain way
to make you smile.

Besides they are food for birds
after they say good-bye to
the happy world.

When Autumn season
appearing with color, red
orange-yellow leaves falling
from the trees, sunflowers
now dried, with corn, wheat
and pumpkin faces.

Leaves flying in the autumn
of my life, sweet music flowing
like the brook in time for the
last thunderstorm.

Oh! how I welcome the bright
colors, pumpkins on the vine
and candy apples on a stick.

The coolness of the fresh autumn
breeze flying by quickly keeping time
with the larks saying good-bye till
summer returns.
