'' Lies With You ''

To claim on insurance,
You require endurance,
What a terrible picture they paint,
Small print dictates,
There's a lot of closed gates,
Don't ever dare make a complaint.

You've bashed your car,
It's a claim too far,
You omitted that you had a sore thumb,
It affected your driving,
So now we're conniving,
To ensure we make you look dumb.

You flooded the house,
You behaved like a louse,
We're sorry but your claim has been binned,
Our inspector stated,
It's you who'll be slated,
Your insurer says, yes, you have sinned.

A runaway jeep,
Put you at a peep,
How dare you put in a claim,
Watch where you're going,
Or the seeds you are sowing,
Will ensure that you get the blame.

You slipped on the floor,
Your head hit a door,
Compensation is what you demand,
Insurance is our craft,
So, don't be so daft,
It's our duty you must understand.

Your insurance revere,
It's that time of year,
Your renewal has already come through,
Promising you the earth,
Of truth there's a dearth,
The blame I'm afraid,

‘' Lies With You ‘'
