Be subject for the Lord,
And ordinance of man;
Never to be ignored,
What either that would ban.
Whether a queen or king,
Governors sent by God;
Praise the good that they bring,
Punish evil as flawed.
This is the will of God,
Doing good to silent;
What foolish people laud,
And became violent.
Live as those who are free,
Using not for evil;
Using wisdom to see,
Rather than the devil.
Honor everyone,
Love in the brotherhood;
Fear the Father and Son,
His Spirit understood.
Be subject with respect,
Not only to the good;
Gentle not to reject,
Doing as told you should.
This is a gracious thing,
To be mindful of God;
Endure sorrows that bring,
Suffering after flawed.
What credit is it when,
For when you did transgress;
Patience to endure then,
Praying as to confess.
But if when you good,
Suffer for to endure;
Abiding as you should,
Of His grace to ensure.
Christ committed no sin,
Neither was guile found;
For godly discipline,
That Scriptures did astound.
Many have reviled,
For the sins that He bore;
Our sins compiled,
That we left the cross wore.
