Poetic-Verses

'' My Free Will ''

I will not be told,
Who to loathe or love,
By those who believe they wield power,
Nor who to behold,
Below or above,
To invisible gods, I won't cower.

What went before,
They decide to change,
That's when the brainwashing starts,
It comes to the fore,
When it starts to derange,
From reality one then departs.

Drugs once used,
For medicinal reasons,
We're told are as dangerous as sin,
Now they're abused,
As common as the seasons,
We're told, throw them all in the bin.

How can you blaspheme,
What doesn't exist,
Try to, they'll say, no you won't,
Their being supreme?
To appear he'll resist,
Does someone know something we don't.

Commandments and tales,
In the biblical book,
Every day they are being revised,
When all else fails,
The contents they'll cook,
Don't complain, it's so ill advised.

I'll retain my own mind,
I'll decide my own fate,
With all do-gooders I've had my fill,
Though much maligned,
I'll choose what to hate,
You will never erode,
