The Memories I Keep
Her flower never blossomed
Her flower never blossomed
In a dark world full of pain
Because the sun refused to shine
And her tears replaced the rain
So she slowly withered away
And was carried away with the wind
Only to land upon a barren earth
To try to grow again
And she tried a little harder
As she sprouted through the dirt
But the roots could not take hold
From memories full of hurt
She had nobody to nurture her
In a soil spoiled with sin
So she slowly died once more
Until Spring came back again
But the hope of a warm spring
Was ruined from a blanket of snow
She had so much love to share
but had nowhere to grow
She lived in a world that did not care
how alone she felt inside
So her flower never blossomed
Because the love she has died
In a dark world full of pain
Because the sun refused to shine
And her tears replaced the rain
So she slowly withered away
And was carried away with the wind
Only to land upon a barren earth
To try to grow again
And she tried a little harder
As she sprouted through the dirt
But the roots could not take hold
From memories full of hurt
She had nobody to nurture her
In a soil spoiled with sin
So she slowly died once more
Until Spring came back again
But the hope of a warm spring
Was ruined from a blanket of snow
She had so much love to share
but had nowhere to grow
She lived in a world that did not care
how alone she felt inside
So her flower never blossomed
Because the love she has died
