The Memories I Keep
One Last Walk
We had my father's funeral today
And it really made me sad
Afterward my little daughter
Spoke these words about my dad
She said daddy don't you worry now
There's no need for you to cry
I know that Grandpa rests in heaven
And I'll be glad to tell you why
You always said that grandpa walked
And talked to God each day
I think that during one of these walks
Grandpa had much to say
They walked and talked for hours
‘til Grandpa was finally spent
So God invited him home with Him
And Grandpa happily went
