Do not be so surprised,
At a fiery trial;
Testing that is despised,
That is very vital.
As though something seems strange,
Was happening to you;
That will be causing change,
Not able to construe.
Rejoice for as you share,
The suffering of Christ;
With gladness that you bear,
Why He was sacrificed.
Be glad when His glory,
While being revealed;
As you tell the story,
Has given us a shield.
If you feel insulted,
Hearing the name of Christ;
Darkness has abducted,
As evil has enticed.
Glory from the Spirit,
If God rests upon you;
Has what you inherit,
If faith will continue.
Let no one to suffer,
As a thief or meddler;
Jesus there to buffer,
For not getting sadder.
If anyone suffers,
With being a Christian;
God deals with the scoffers,
Having a contention.
Let them not be ashamed,
Rather glorify God;
Praise Him to be proclaimed,
Giving honor and laud.
Time for judgment to start,
Through the household of God;
See who has a pure heart,
And in being unflawed.
If the righteous just saved.
What about the sinful;
Since sinning has enslaved,
Cursed being not grateful.
