Hull Veterans Support Centre

I am an Armed Forces Veteran:
This means that I was willing
To swear the loyalty oath and

Accept the Queen's Shilling
And in doing that I joined
Those millions of others,
Serving, and past, to become
One of that band of brothers.

And we've all been through
The drill square of life,
And some of us live
On the very edge of a knife.
And some of us are damaged,
And some of us are broken,
And many have problems
Too deep to be spoken,

And some of us drink,
And some of us weep,.
And some of us awaken
From nightmare troubled sleep.
But when our service is over
And we come out of there
That nation that we served
Just doesn't really care,

So we look after our own
We band of damaged brothers,
Help and support the partners
Children, fathers and mothers.
I am an Armed Forces Veteran:
This means that I was willing
To swear the loyalty oath and
Accept the Queen's Shilling
