The Backyard Of My Life

Time On My Hands

Time on my hands free to be whatever i want
I've no need to hurry nowhere to go
After moving so fast everything is so slow
Born again child of light
Sweet surrender to the beautiful night
Seconds slip sliding away
With time on my hands i appreciate the day
The break of dawn in the morning
The moon goes hand in hand with all the stars
I feel like letting go of yesterday

Time on my hands makes me think
About all the things that I've been through
The end of the beginning starting something new
Like breathing in so you can breath out
I can see myself what its all about
Hours hang over my head
Teenage dreams all the things she said
When she whispered words of wisdom
Broken clocks ticking out false time
To the empire built on nothing but illusions
Bringing back memories of how i used to feel

Watching the wheels now i can see
Everything that i can be
The spark of the eternal flame
In the beat of my heart in the rhythm of the rain

Time on my hands standing still
Movement suspended frozen in the sky
With time on my hands i can ask myself why
You are here whats going on
How did i forget where did i go wrong?
Why is everyone so petrified of silence?
Magnetic moments moving majestically
Across a backdrop of abandoned broken bridges
Lead me to a long and winding road
Trying to carry such a heavy load
Of crazy situations and un-answered questions
With the hour glass empty i try to understand
What i should do with all this time on my hands
