Hey Mr Member
You make me despair
You seem to have forgotten
Who and what sent you there
So, Mr Member
A word in your ear
Being there is a privilege
Not a guaranteed career
And if you forget
What democracy's about
Your constituents have the right
To quickly throw you out.
You may assume superiority
Enjoy advantages membership brings
But every one of those is
Just some given transient thing
You are a volunteer
You chose to stand
So don't behave like
One of a select band.
Come the next selection
We can make you appear
To justify your place or
Be thrown out on your ear.
Just a gentle reminder
To try and make you see
I don't work for you
You work for me.
