And all those friendly faces
We'll see you again we hope
In various different places.
Farewell Compère Derek, even
Handedly moving things along
With his genial banter,
His self penned songs.
Farewell to our Pat
His ever loving wife,
We wish them all joy in
Their new travelling life.
May the guitar sweetly sing
May creative juices flow
May they bring joy and pleasure
To everywhere that they go.
May their journey be happy
Long may they roam
And with their journey over
Travel safely onwards home.
There'll be a fulsome welcome
For a Yorkshire travelling pair;
We'll all wave little flags
To show how much we care.
And when they return
Maybe a change of heart
With Derek at the helm
May the Tiger Inn restart.
