Possessions

I must not laugh, I must not laugh
For she who must be obeyed
Has misplaced or mislaid
That very thing she put away
Was it just only yesterday.

There's suspicion in her eyes
WhenI deny I've seen it
She seems to think I'm telling lies,
For she knows
To her cost
I get annoyed
When my things are lost.

She thinks I've done it
To play a trick,
Would any man
Be that sick.

But what really  went
And pulled her chain
It was me who found it
So she could use it again.
