Prepare your mind for action,
And being sober-minded;
Let not things as attraction,
Of this placed to be blinded.
Set your hope fully on grace,
That will be brought unto you;
By Jesus Christ to this place,
The revelation to view.
As obedient children,
Be not conformed to passions;
Ignorance of a demon,
Rather spiritual fashions.
He who called you is holy,
Be holy how you behave;
Because the One and only,
For all the blessings He gave.
If you call Him as Father,
Who judges impartially;
Means Jesus as your Brother,
Being beneficially.
So, conduct yourself with fear,
Knowing that you were ransomed;
For you are exiled here,
As a saint to be blossomed.
Not with perishable things,
Such things as silver or gold;
Rather precious blood that brings,
Like as a lamb from the fold.
A lamb without a blemish.
Known before the foundation;
Before God did establish,
As a plan for salvation.
Who through Him believe in God,
Who raised Him up from the dead;
And as we honor and laud,
And the Gospel as we read.
Through Christ we have faith and hope,
In which purified your soul;
Brotherly love makes you cope,
As His Spirit takes control.
The flowers wither and fall,
But His Word will not sever;
Because you answered the call,
For His Word lasts forever.
