Poetic Verses
What Will You Remember
What will you remember
From the time you were so small
What will you remember
Of things so great and tall
Will you treasure all those moments
When everything was new
Will you hold dear the friends
Who were so tried and true
I'm sure you will remember
As we elders do
All the milestone memories
And events that did ensue
But, as you walk the stage
With diploma in your hand
The year of world pandemic
Hasn't been so grand
It seems that life came to a stop
There was not one open door
Everyone was sheltered home
So death counts didn't soar
What will you remember
Of your high school days
Home schooled, sheltered home
In a pandemic haze
