As Oft We're Prone to Do
Anytime we struggle with our thoughts
As oft we're prone to do
We wonder if most people feel
Those same emotions too.
Do they ever feel misunderstood
And led to thus conclude
That anything they have to say
Reveals an attitude?
Do they ever feel of little worth
No more than second-best
Sad victims of what they perceive
Which leaves them sorely stressed?
Do they ever feel unloved at times
Dejected and alone
And wonder who would really care
If one day, they were gone?
Do they ever feel the hopelessness
Of being out of sync
Away from God's all-saving grace
Salvation's one true link?
Yes, as we struggle with our thoughts
