The Backyard Of My Life

White Nightshade

White nightshade
Winter fire
Ashes to ashes
Embers of desire
Burning brightly
A flicker in a flame
Candle shining through the darkness again
When the world has pulled the wool over your eyes
The truth has been twisted with fear and lies

I'm just here to make you think
Who are we? where are we?
What are we doing with the beauty of life?
Why do we destroy everything we have been bestowed?
Trying to untie a knot in your mind
Sticking out like a splinter in your thoughts
Educated in ignorance we're born to be blind

Black lightning
Summer rain
Dust to dust
Hang your head in shame
Sinking slowly
A lead balloon fill it full of air
Serpent in a bottle you better beware
You need to wake up wipe the sleep from your eyes
Newspapers and politicians only fuel the lies

I'm just here to make you think
For yourself question your existence
Remember what we came here for
So stop collecting money like a mouse on a treadmill
Trying to quench the thirst of an empty void
Disguise in the guise its what happy people do
When your employed by sinners on bullshit avenue

Purple Daybreak
Autumn leaves
At the end of the end
When will the prisoners be released
Strange situations
A silent night will shatter
When death taps you on the shoulder what will really matter?
Nobody wants to face it they all close there eyes
They cant handle the truth there so used to lies
