Summer Remembered

Sitting on a rock by the ocean cove watching

waves sparkle in the glow of the sun, heartbeat

within the bind of thoughts, swim across my

mind, days of the youth of summertime.

The sweet song of salty waves hitting rocks

below, bring back time when the blossoms

smelt like perfume, with wine, red rose

laying upon the sand of yesterday.

Swiftly, storms pass with autumn remembered

memories written down, in letters tied

with satin string, weathered, by years locked

away safely, in a box by a salty cove of never

ending romance.

Sweet embrace, blissful nights, bashful under

darkened skies, my love, my first, my youth

of years gone by.

Days are peaceful with self, new horizons

appearing behind the memories

of sweet romance.
