Do I have any regrets you may ask?
Adding them up would be quite a task,
Over time I have amassed quite a lot
I`ll tell you what they are well I`ll give it a shot.
I regret many things that I have said
From thoughts formed inside my head,
And also things that I have not said
When I just kept silent instead.
I regret some things that I have done
And these now cannot be undone,
And also things that I have not done
And therefore my regrets have won.
Not saying I love you more to those I`ve lost
And now my heart has to pay the cost,
I regret not listening to good advice
And to my detriment I paid the price.
Looking back instead of forward is a regret
As doing this just caused me a lot of upset,
Wishing I had done things differently for sure
But back then things were more obscure.
Not doing what my heart really desired
But my attention other people required
There are things over which my heart frets
But my biggest regret is having regrets.
