 ramblings and things

At Morrison's Supermarket.

A couple of years back we were asked to do a workshop with a class of Primary School children on farming , food, and conservation.  This was one of my contributions.

There's cabbages and caulies and
onions all laid out there on  display
And mushies and beans and taties
All packed and ready to take away.
Rows and rows of shelves a stacked
With packets and boxes and tins
And we walk up and down the rows
With baskets to put it in.
There's food to suit
Every style,  and taste
We buy it by the ton
And so much goes to waste.
In some parts of the world
Children go hungry to bed
While here at home
Most of us are well fed.
So maybe some times
We should think of them and wait
Before we take too much food
And  then leave it  on our plate.
