From the Heart Through the Pen

yosph

“Just in case I never see your face again

Just in case the worst was meant to happen

Just in case tomorrow never come

There is something you should know...”

-Before I Met You-

Music Speaks Volumes

Explains why I hear you so well

The moment you started talking

I knew you were an instant classic

So please pound my drums

15 plus and still you’re

Drowning out these lames

Wait...Did I ever recover from your spell

Feeling your vibes pulsate through these veins

The moment your notes caress my face

I hear traces of your name and

I’m no longer sane

The rhythm of your blues

Match my heart’s rate

Our loves’ pilot on auto

And Her Gravitational Pull just keeps

Pulling me back, pulling me back

I tried telling them none could equate

They tried to show me but

Ran out of ammo

Or should I say, my demand

Outweighed their supply

These Lo standards SoSo high

They’re looking down into the sky

My Rainbow finally in their view

You’re the reason my love is continually past its' brim

Finally I can be him for you and not them

Let me see those jewels

Over here all bilingual like

Tu eres muy guapisima

So many years & I still fall

Yet to hit the ground

You continue to defy my rules

Please don’t ever stop

Forever being my muse

Still on this cruise

Around those gorgeous round browns

I’ve tried with all my might

Talking fifteen plus

And we’ve yet to hit our climax

Never been that good at math

Or avoiding your path

Imagine when we finalize our pact

I’m done Dreaming While She Lives

Stuck on ghost love

Destiny’s keeping us apart

So you and I can fall back together

Slowing our tempo

But can we get our moments

To take the Black Beatles challenge

So all my love to you

I can finally give

“I love you for life”
