 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove
He was just like a brother,
His wisdom opened her eyes;
Nursed the breast of her mother,
No one would ever despise.

She would lead him to the house,
Of her mother who has taught;
Wishing he would be her spouse,
In a marriage that she sought.

She would give spiced wine to drink,
The juice of pomegranate;
Time for both of them to think,
A marriage strong as granite.

His left hand under her head,
His right hand embraces her;
While lying on the bed,
Causes emotions to stir.

She asks you not to arouse,
Not wake up love for pleasure;
Await what marriage endows,
For enjoyment of treasure.

Who comes through the forest,
While leaning on her love;
Somebody that she could trust,
Who came down from up above.

Waking up under a tree,
Your mother was in labor;
She who bore you did decree,
That the Lord was your neighbor.

Set as a seal on your heart,
As a seal upon your arm;
For love is strong to impart,
Until death that will alarm.

Envy is fierce as the grave,
Flashes flashing of fire;
The very flames that enslave,
Causing such a desire.

Water cannot quench the love,
Neither can flood ever drown;
Offered a love from above,
The Lord gives the wedding gown.
