'' Immortality, I'm Afraid Can't Be Bought ''

Our intelligence is in doubt,
It does not hold clout,
Things are much worse than we feared,
While some go without,
The minority hold clout,
They'd be glad if we all disappeared.

Their life of greed,
Isn't based on need,
It's getting one over on their neighbour,
They pay no heed,
When watching us bleed,
Employing us, to them is hard labour.

For the riches they pursue,
They don't care what they do,
As long as their pockets are full,
What they accrue,
Made by me and you,
Gives them the ability to rule.

A better class,
Because they've got brass,
That's what they'd have you believe,
They love to harass,
Their subservient mass,
If only, the blind could see.

It annoys them to think,
We all eat and drink,
Like them, we all love a fuss,
To the depths we all sink,
To get into the pink,
Truth is, they're no different from us.

Their arrogance is rife,
It impacts their life,
What is it these reprobates can't see,
Though it cuts like a knife,
They do suffer strife,
Knowing they are like, you and me.

While we struggle by,
The truth they belie,
The very thought of this, leaves them distraught,
Though they deny,
Like us they will die,
