Modern Robber Barons

Robber Barons are in power
And it's hard to believe
We sit there and watch them
As they  rob, cheat and thieve,
Backhand their mates
Brazenly and with ease
While on the Public sector
Impose a partial wage freeze.

They seemed to just  watch as
COVID marched ever more near
Just as though they thought
It wouldn't dare to  cross to here
For we are Great Britain and
We're  steadfastly on track
To ditch the rule of Johnny Foreigner
And get our country back.

But their Oven Ready Deal
It seems may have just  gone
Nobody seemed to realise
You have to switch the oven on.
They really should be tried
And made to serve time
For their ten year reign
Of near inhumane crime
