Vindicate me, O God,
Defend me from evil;
Ungodly that are flawed,
Unjust of the devil.
For I take my refuge,
Away from the deceit;
Sheltered from the deluge,
Trampled under their feet.
Why have You rejected,
When You hearing me mourn;
I feel so neglected,
The place that I sojourn.
The oppression from foes,
Send me light of Your truth;
To Your Holy Hill go,
For dwelling in my youth.
I come to Your altar,
With an exceeding joy;
Praise You with a guitar,
With a song to deploy.
Why are You casting down,
As my soul yearns for You;
Turmoil makes me frown,
As my heart has turned blue.
My hope remains in You,
For I shall again praise;
Salvation that is true,
Countenance for always.
