Harry Sweeden. My life in verse.

Kibbutz Geva 1982

I remember now “never never land”
And all the songs we played
Endless nights in our drinking house
As time just rushed away…
Countless friends from another world
Wanting to know your name
Everyone a stranger
Different, yet so very much the same.

Picking fruit in the morning sun
Lazy afternoons
Cooling off in the swimming pool
Feeling so brand new…
No hang ups from my other world
Not running from the law
No old foes to settle accounts…
You know.. even up the score.

Fresh new eyes to view the world
Exotic charms to learn…
Historic places to understand more
Trust, I’m keen to earn.
This place was my never never land
It still warms me too this day
Those beautiful nights under a star filled sky
When time was far away.
