 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

I hated all of my toil,
That I toil under the sun;
When I leave seeing turmoil,
Because others left it undone.
Who knows whether to be wise,
Or be turning into a fool;
Yet a master that opens eyes,
Using wisdom under the rule.
For it is merely vanity,
Giving heart up to despair;
Since toil is insanity,
Through the labor that you declare.
When you have toiled with wisdom,
Knowledge and skill will have to leave;
No more enjoying the freedom,
As others trying to deceive.
For vanity is an evil,
When a man striving from your heart;
But deception from the devil,
That your accomplishments will thwart.
All your days are full of sorrow,
And your work is a vexation;
Not a good rest for tomorrow,
Feeling no appreciation.
There’s nothing better for a man,
Than that he should then eat and drink;
Having enjoyment in his plan,
His time for God he does not think.
For the hand of God gives you food,
Enjoyment of drink what you need;
Let God give you the attitude,
As the hand of God plants the seed.
For to the one who pleases Him,
God gives the knowledge and wisdom;
The joy of His spiritual vim,
Which is flowing from His Kingdom.
But the sinner through his business,
Pleases himself what he collects;
Striving in the wind to transgress,
Is vanity what God rejects.
