Morning Desire

I desired to hug you this morning,
but your mask spoke a warning.
Don’t cross the entrance of this awning!
Then, with a full look in your eyes
I felt good like pie (not macaroni…but apple or sweet potato sighs).

So, flowing beneath the sunny bright blue
Singing along with the breezy birds’ cue
Bella carol, true belle true.
A fragrant dawn rising new.
