When I Die

When I Die May 14, 2021

When I die as a Palestinian child in my land I never knew
Peace did not happen for me. The world did not want to know
I would like to live and grow in the only place I know
The missiles, the bombs, the forces, my spirit has to go
I hoped for peace but the veto at the United Nations
Sealed our future Palestinian many more will die
My brother and sister shared a grave collected by a shovel
They claim it had to happen at the age of fourteen
No vacation for them just beatings in the land they live
My parents died before them, that's the way we live
At night they come again to do the things they do
I cannot see the blood, believe death is very true
Why can't I live like a human and enjoy my freedom
It's not allowed in my country. This is the way I live
I feel so sad and want to die to be with the ones that left
Hopefully, there will be freedom with my family up above
I know it will be better to enjoy the freedom and share my love
When I die as a Palestinian child in my land I never knew
Peace did not happen for me. The world did not want to know
