He came by water and blood,
Not by the water only;
Baptized in the crimson flood,
Being righteously holy.
The Spirit does testify,
For the Spirit is the truth;
Because we cannot deny,
We were taught since our youth.
For all three agree as One,
As for the Holy Spirit;
With the Father and the Son,
Through faith you inherit.
We have the testimony,
Witness by God is greater;
Guaranteed not a phony,
Because the Word is straighter.
If you believe in the Son,
In Himself has the witness;
Of what the Father has done,
To give spiritual fitness.
Whoever does not believe,
Is making God as a liar;
Rebirth they will not receive,
Rather torment in fire.
For this is of the record,
That God gave eternal life;
Through the Son who was slaughtered,
After enduring the strife.
Whoever believes has life,
Those who do not have the Son;
Will never endure the strife,
And salvation never won.
