Can We Rebuild

We Never had a chance
To love unconditionally
Will we ever advance
Will we eventually be

Will the stars align
Instead of a partial eclipse
When will our lights entwine
And shadow our conflicts

Do you still view me
As your soulmate
Do we still agree
That’s in our fate

Will we find the courage
To defy the obstructions
Both without marriage
To open up our options

Can we forgive each other
For our flaws and mistakes
Our shortcomings rather
And do what it takes

Can we still learn
Through all our strife
Allow each other to earn
To build our life

Is there hope for us
Or is the faith missing
Can we rebuild on trust
Or are you unwilling
