Out of the depths I cry to You,
O Lord, are You hearing my voice?
Let my pleas for mercy pursue,
I realize I made a bad choice.
If You should mark iniquities,
O Lord, then who could ever stand?
Tempted by immoralities,
And faltering from Your command.
But with You there is forgiveness,
That You may be honored and feared;
But sin is a seductiveness,
That constantly has persevered.
My soul is waiting for the Lord,
And in Your Word brings faith and hope;
To make me walk in one accord.
Helping resist while I cope.
My soul awaits unto the Lord,
More than watchmen for the morning;
I do not want to be ignored,
Let Your Spirit send a warning.
My only hope is in the Lord,
Because You have Your steadfast love;
Your ample redemption adored,
That You are blessing from above.
Redeem me from iniquities,
I confess that I have done wrong;
Free me from sin captivities,
Allowing my faith to be strong.
