 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove
I lay in Zion a stone,
A cornerstone as select;
One that is precious and hone,
That many others reject.

Whoever believes proclaim.
For the honor who believes,
Will never be put to shame,
For salvation one receives.

For those who do not believe,
That the builders rejected;
Because Satan does deceive,
For their faith is infected.

A stone as a stumbling block,
They stumble going astray;
Being an offensive rock,
For the Word they disobey.

But you are a chosen race,
To be His new creation;
A royal priesthood by grace,
Part of a holy nation.

People of His possession,
Excellent marvelous light;
He forgives for confession,
And blesses what is done right.

Not a people in time past,
But now you belong to God;
With life that will ever last,
While you honor and laud.

Now you have mercy and grace,
As sojourners here on earth;
Exiled here in this place,
That God has known our worth.

Abstain from the fleshy lust,
Which battles against the soul;
Put your faith in God to trust,
Allowing Him to control.

Live proper in your conduct,
Being honest to others;
The glory of God induct,
To all in being brothers.
