Settle my mind

I still walk the streets in the dead of night
Searching for just one of my dreams?
I have been looking so long in so many lost places…
It’s sometimes hard to remember just where I have been?
The night lights flicker creating more shadows
It’s so hard to know what is real?
The fear in my veins keeps urging me forward
without letting me forget how I feel.
Nothing is certain the shadows keep dancing
So many characters my mind seems to find
But always I’m searching for that one thing to cling too
That one thing that will settle my mind?
