I consider your calling,
Not many of you were wise;
World standards caused your falling,
Since Satan was in disguise.
Not many had been mighty,
Not many of noble birth;
Causing you to be flighty,
With living on planet earth.
But God chose the foolish things,
In the world to shame the wise;
Choosing what is weak that brings,
The mighty to shame their eyes.
God has chosen what is low,
That is despised in the world;
Even things that do not show,
To bring nothing that is hurled.
So that no human might boast,
Of glory in His presence;
Without having the Holy Ghost,
In making an appearance.
For you are in Jesus Christ,
Who of God came with wisdom;
So righteousness be enticed,
So we enter His Kingdom.
Let anyone who would boast,
Let them glory in the Lord;
Heard by the heavenly host,
And being in one accord.
