Son of man, stand on your feet,
And the Lord will speak with you;
His Spirit makes you complete,
As you will learn what is true.
His Spirit enters within,
Pulling you up as to stand;
You hear His speaking begin,
And is about to command.
He sends you to a nation,
A nation that goes astray;
Rebellious acts flirtation,
Transgressed them to disobey.
The people are impudent,
As well as being stubborn;
Hard hearted and decadent,
The place where they sojourn.
Whether they heed or refuse,
They know who is amongst them;
Their decision what they choose,
Either to spare or condemn.
Fear not of them or their words,
Briars and thorns are with you;
Nor the circling of buzzards,
Upon your bidding adieu.
You shall speak His Word to them,
Whether they hear or refuse;
Rebellious ways will condemn,
In judgment God will accuse.
Hear what the Lord has to say,
As you eat what He will give;
Trust in Him as you obey,
Assured a long life to live.
His hand will be stretching out,
Guiding you to scroll His book;
No lamentations to doubt,
That He has never forsook.
