Granddaddy's Chair
Oh my precious child
The chair in which you stand
Belonged to your great great Papa
In so many ways a man so grand
That chair has rocked
Those upon the wall
Some of whom
Have received God's call
The limbs will branch off
And contact you may lose
But remember Family is Family
Not just who you choose
We were gathered together
As part of God's great plan
The bond that binds
Over every life's span
The family tree is sacred
It shows from where you came
While yes we all differ
Our roots are all the same
Never forget those roots
One day I pray with yours you share
These roots are what made you, you
And I ask always cherish PaPa's Chair

ღ God asked me how long I planned on keeping you in my life.
I smiled and said...
How do I choose between always and forever...
But then I have found that's really not up to me... ღ
