My Poetry
I'm Thankful To My Lord, My God
God, You answered my prayers
And You confirmed what I already knew
Thank You, Lord Jesus for everything that You've done
And I will keep on praising and worshiping You
I may still be in the valley; I'm not in the lowest part
And I can see that mountain from where I am at
I will climb up on that mountain in the distance
Lord Jesus, You are a light that shines in the darkness
Lord, Your Word is a lamp that lights my path
And I will follow that light; I will get to where I'm going
It's going to be an up hill journey; I am ready for that journey
And I will prepare my heart as I walk through this valley
Lord Jesus, You are my Shepherd
And You lead me to where You want me
I will pick up my cross and follow You
Lord God, You are my Living Hope
I can sing the song that I'm singing in the valley
I will sing that song when I am on the mountain top
I have Your Word with me and I will cherish it forever
And my eyes are fixed on You all the time so I won't worry
I'm not afraid of what might come
For You are with me, Lord Jesus
And I am comforted by Your presence
I am just in awe what You have done for me
Lord Jesus, You are mighty and You are amazing
You are my everything that I will ever need
Thank You, Jesus Christ, for I am grateful
My eyes are fixed on You for You are my everything
Today is the day that You have made, Lord Jesus
And I am going to rejoice and just be thankful in it
I know that I won't worry about tomorrow anymore
For I know that You are already there; I am thankful
Tomorrow is never promised; I have the present moment
I will forget the past, look to the moment, and plan for the future
Whatever happens, let it happen for I am not afraid anymore
For I know that my Lord, my God, Jesus Christ, is with me always
Today is the day that You made, Lord Jesus
I am going to rejoice and just be thankful in it
For Lord Jesus, tomorrow is not guaranteed
So, I will just be thankful and praise You today
