 ramblings and things

11 billion 555 million

I may just be stupid, even naive
Don't want to kick up a fuss
But it seems you can't  believe
What's there on the side of a bus.
Week thirty three
Year twenty twenty one
So that's this year
More than half gone
By my calculation that's
Eleven and a half' Billion,
Give or take
The odd few million
That we were told
Was the EU weekly cost
To be given to the NHS
That seems to have got lost,
Was Boris just a suave liar
Or, even more dreadful thought
A conman and a common thief
Who's yet to be faced and caught
Double standards really
If he'd made false benefits claim
For even a more minuscule amount
He'd have been  named and shamed
As we face a turkeyless Christmas
With near empty supermarket shelves
Remember we've got our country back,
We are British and proud of ourselves.
But one last little question
Just a simple little  one
Can anybody please tell me where
The eleven and a half billion has gone.
So a lesson in life dear friends
Don't get angry or kick up a fuss
Of you were daft enough to believe
That written on the side of a bus.
