Lotus and Wasp is a classic tale from
Sanskrit Literature. A lover would sacrifice
his own life but would never hurt his lover.
A black wood-boring wasp
was trapped in a lotus
and was dying there.
God asked him,
"you can bore through
the toughest wood,
why can you not make
a hole and get out?"
The wasp replied,
"How can I, my Lord?
I love Lotus"
and he perished in there but
could not harm his love.
I love you Precious
I would die like that
wood-boring wasp
but will never harm
you Sweetheart.
