The Backyard Of My Life

The Book I Write Will Never Close

It hurts like hell
When you kiss and tell
You take me for a fool then for a ride
Her heart is like a wheel of light
Rolling into the night
Come and take a thorn from my pride

Shes holding in her hand a paper rose
She said the book i write will never close

As i slowly turn the page
Break free from the cage
I tell my self i wont be back again
Her eyes are like a ring of fire
The flames are growing higher
It echoes every time she calls my name

Shes dancing in her colourful clothes
She said the book i write will never close

Flying through the chaos down pathways of ink
Her loves so heavy my heart will sink
It was written that i would love you
In this never ending story
Through the chapters of my life

When shooting stars fall
Far away over the wall
Laying low looking for a place to hide
Her hearts a circle of light
A candle burning bright
She said my loves as long as it it is wide

She whispers things nobody knows
She said the book i write will never close
