Collapse of the Heart
My days are unlivable
without you.
Too much time
has passed by
without you.
You're my child &
I need you
in my life.
How many tears
have I cried
because you're
not here
with me.
I held your tiny hand
the day you were born.
You held on for dear life ~
such a strong grip!
With the unspoken promise
that you'd never let go.
Yet we are apart ~
a nightmare for me.
My child alone
in this scary world.
Being a mom
is what I do.
I feel so torn
without you here.
Thinking of
the puppet shows,
the "forts" we used to build.
Trips in the car
to the store.
Just the everyday things
that we can't do right now.
My heart collapses &
it's so hard to breathe.
To see the future.
To think.
To concentrate.
You're all that matters
to me.
