Night On The Beach
Night was now coming upon me
As I sit on the white sandy beach
I didn't care as I felt so free
I bought a few snacks, but not a single peach
I also brought with me the Word of God
However, I was watching a dolphin pod
Trying to read can be hard due to distraction
The dolphins seem to like my reaction
The moon's light turns the ocean's surface purple
The moon's reflection can be seen in a circle
The warm breeze is dancing across my skin
The scenery makes me just want to dive right in
The smell of the ocean is quite refreshing
It is so peaceful that it feels like a blessing
However, the Word of God is waiting for me
When I read it, it helps me to also feel free
Reading the Word of God is peaceful
At the moment, the feeling is blissful
After awhile, it'll be time to go for another swim
It is helpful to the body as it relaxes every limb
The sound of the birds high above the water
And at the end of the ocean's waves, there's an otter
It makes it so peaceful and relaxing that I never want to go
It doesn't help with the warm wind that gently blows
I know that I can't stay much longer
The feeling to stay is stronger
But it's time for me to go home
Back to the car, I start to roam
Goodnight ocean and moon
I will come back soon
Until the next time
Back to my norm in the daytime
