Getting Ready For Christmas
Getting ready for Christmas Day
Let there be peace on earth, I pray
The decorations are all hung up
Ready to count down the days
The blanket of white is everywhere
And it looks deep from my window
A beautiful sight to see and to enjoy
Now, if only it would snow some more
Christmas time is near; I'm already to go
Time to sing all my favorite Christmas carols
And just enjoy the tranquil of the moment
Loving the quietness and peacefulness of the night
Stars are shining brightly in the sky
No moon tonight, where did it go?
The tree's lights are shining brightly
And all the wonderful colors I see
A night to be inside my cozy home
And be cuddled up on the sofa
Under my favorite warm blanket
While looking out to enjoy the view
Preparing myself to forgive
And give what I am able to
Helping others is my goal
I'm thankful and grateful
My Saviour, hope, and salvation
Has come into the world this night
What a sight it must have been
To witness the Baby Jesus
What a blessing it had been
To witness a babe in swaddling clothes
And laid in a manger, used for His bed
What a miracle and blessing it had been
Let's exalt the Lord with all praise and worship
Let's humble ourselves and give our thanks
Christ is our hope, salvation, and Saviour
Our Lord, our God has come to us
Our living hope came to us a babe
Born of a virgin birth
In Bethlehem, the City of David
What a beautiful sight it had to have been
