My Poetry

Nature Awakes

Spring, around the corner
Milder temps are coming
What a relief it will be
No more snow on the ground

Trees start to bud
And leaves begin to form
And green is all around
Yet, no one leaf is on the ground

A renewal has come
Nature begins to awake
And baby animals are adults
Ready to have their own offspring

Birds begin to fly back home
And start chirping in the trees
Oh what a beautiful sound I miss
And it's music to my ears

Rain showers begin to fall down
And snowfall starts to fade,
No more snow on the ground
Thunderstorms begin to start up

I miss the thunderstorms
I don't miss tornado warnings
I love the rain showers that fall
And the milder weather to be outside

Flowers start growing in the field
Where once the snow had covered
The stars change again with the season
And the moon shines brighter than in winter
