The Lord is our peace,
Has broken down the wall;
A love that will not cease,
Catches us whence we fall.
Abolishing the Law,
Expressed in ordinance;
Erasing our flaw,
Advocate for defense.
He might reconcile,
One body unto God;
Purging the defile,
Purified as where flawed.
Jesus came to preach peace,
To those who have been far;
Giving life a new lease,
For healing any scar.
Through Him we have access,
As one with the Father;
As His Spirit will bless,
With Christ our Brother.
You are no more strangers,
But fellow citizens;
Free from all the dangers,
Tempted by aliens.
Apostles and prophets,
Built on the foundation;
Cancelling the debits,
Bringing you salvation.
In whom the whole structure,
Being joined together;
From the Holy Scripture,
In church where we gather.
In Him that you have built,
Into a dwelling place;
His Spirit purges guilt,
As the Lord sheds His grace.
